|Spent a fantastic week at Casa del Sole in June 2013. The cottage was cosy with everything we needed. The pool was most welcome as a refreshing dip goes a long way after a hot day of site seeing. Luigi was very good in sending out information prior to our holiday and there where several information folders in the cottage about the area. Sicily itself was beautiful with fantastic beaches. Ideal for walkers, water sports, photographers etc. or just perfect for relaxing. We would certainly recommend it to our friends and would like to return to the island ourselves in the near future. Thank you Luigi for supplying such a well equipped nice place for a good price.|

|The Sicily region|
Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean with 600 miles of coastline and yet it is still somewhat undeveloped for tourism. It takes roughly 3 ½ hours to cross the main island from east to west and 2 ½ from north to south.Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean sea and....the place where the mountains meet the sea. Sicilia, the island in the sun, is home to Heavenly beaches, majestic mountains and Europe's greatest natural wonder, mount Etna. Sicily's coasts are gold with orange and lemon orchards. A place where time and tradition have been forged, timeless beauty in eclectic diversity: Europe, Africa and Asia in one magical moment...
Food and wine are among Sicily's main attractions. The climate in Sicily is known as “Mediterranean” which means that the summers are hot and dry and the winters are mild with light rainfall. The summer season can often seem long, as Spring and Autumn offer a continuation of the warm temperatures and long hours of sunlight.
