Home description
This relaxing holiday home, which sleeps 4/5 is spacious and tastefully finished. It has a private courtyard garden and stands detached on the grounds of the owners' home, enjoying a garden with swings, slide and a small climbing wall, a natural pond and wandering hens.

Wi-fi ibroadband available should you need to keep in touch with your emails even an EPad can be supplied!

Ground floor: Living/dining room (with wood pellet stove)/kitchen. Shower room with power shower and toilet.

First floor: One very large bedroom with a 6' wide bed complete with its wonderful memory foam mattress. There is an additional full sized single and a double futon on the landing area. Electric blankets available.

Bedding and towels provided. Small welcome pack provided.

Two Z beds, travel cot, highchair and stairgate available on request.

Dogs very welcome however they must NOT be left unattended at any time and must be kept off the furniture.

Facilities include: Satellite TV. Video. DVD. Stereo/CD. Fully equipped kitchen, Microwave. Washer/dryer. Private courtyard garden and the use of the owners gardens where there are swings, a slide and a climbing wall. Masonary BBQ by the pond. Ample parking. Wi-fi internet access.

Baby sitting can be arranged. Also dog sitting.

PLEASE NOTE that smoking is NOT allowed inside the cottage.

West Cork Durrus area
The cottage overlooks Dunmanus Bay and has wonderful views of the famous Sheeps Head trail. Durrus village is half a mile with its excellent grocery store, cafe and four pubs, two serving excellent pub food.The nearest town is Bantry, six miles away with its many restaurants, shops, banks, cinema, golf course, swimming at the West Lodge Hotel and the delightful Bantry House. Schull, eight miles, where you can take a boat trip to Cape Clear Island, go fishing. Barley Cove, probably the most wonderful beach in West Cork. Further afield is Fota Wild Life Park, Cork. Take a drive across the mountains to see the beautiful Killarney Lakes. Take the Cable Car across to Dursey Island, but remember that sheep take priority!! Skibbereen, Baltimore and Lough Hyne are all within a 40 minute drive. Visit the Italian Gardens on Garnish Island, en route, visit the seals and the Bamboo Park at Glengarriff.

There are also two Zbeds (folding singles suitable for children) available.

We have recently installed a wood pellet stove for those chillier evenings. The wood pellets will, of course, be provided.

The €50 Cleaning Deposit is fully returnable provided that the cottage is left in a satisfactory condition.
Conditions
Dogs are more than welcome however we do ask that you bring their own bedding.

Dogs must NOT be left alone in the cottage at any time. Dog sitting can be arranged, if required.

Short breaks are available from November to March. A 2 night break is €170 extra nights at €40 per night. (Excluding Christmas, New Year and Easter).

50% deposit required at the time of booking with the balance payable 6 weeks before arrival.

The cottage will, of course, be thoroughly cleaned at the end of your stay, however a €50 cleaning deposit is to be paid with your final balance. This will be returned to you within 7 days of the end of your holiday providing that extra cleaning costs are not entailed.

Late offers available on request.

10% reduction on a two week booking, October-April inclusive. 10% reduction for returning visitors.

Our granddaughter, Daisy aged 18 will gladly baby-sit (€7.50 per hour) or dog-sit (€5 per hour) should you wish to go out for the evening.
